The Maryland Southern Regional Choir was founded during the pandemic by Phillip Carter and Elder Maurice Hunt as a community choir dedicated to spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ through music, extending beyond traditional church walls. Serving Southern Maryland, including Prince George’s, Charles, Calvert, and St. Mary’s counties, the choir has quickly become a vibrant force in the region. Known for its uplifting sound and spirit-filled worship, the Maryland Southern Regional Choir is committed to singing until the power of the Lord comes down. Under the leadership of Carter and Hunt, the choir continues to grow in strength, unity, and purpose, with a vision to expand its reach and inspire future generations through the creation of a Maryland Southern Regional Youth Choir.
